A documentary about a group of unsung session musicians who were responsible for laying down some of the biggest hits of the ’60s and ’70s while remaining largely uncredited for their contributions despite the famous names they worked with.
It boggles the mind how many hit records and familiar tunes keep popping up in this story and how unfamiliar I was with the royally talented folks behind them. Not only that, but the personalities involved make for some awfully good company. A cross-generational crowd-pleaser if there ever was one, especially if you dig music.
It’s got a 93% on Rotten Tomatoes.
