When her husband gets sent to the front lines of the Iran-Iraq war , a woman and her daughter are left to fend for themselves in an apartment complex that’s under constant threat of aerial bombing. As if that isn’t bad enough, her daughter soon starts to suspect that an evil spirit is after them. With evil coming at them from all sides, the woman and her daughter must fight to survive.
Highly unusual setting for a horror movie, but it ends up working like gangbusters, regardless of how much you know about the War of the Cities. Seriously, though. Might be something of a slow burn, but the payoff is absolutely worth it. Downright haunting stuff.
It’s got a 98% on Rotten Tomatoes.
