After failing once again at his fatherly duties, a workaholic hedge fund manager takes his estranged daughter on a train to see her mom. Unfortunately for them, a viral epidemic that’s turning everyone into superzombies decides to break out when they’re leaving town. One of the infected manages to get on their train and things just go downhill quick.

It’s the highest-grossing movie in South Korean history and it happens to be pretty great. Great for a zombie movie, great for an action/thriller, great in a whole lot of ways that more zombie movie action/thrillers could really afford to strive for. If only it was always this easy to find complex, fleshed-out characters like these. Totally worth the subtitles.
It’s got a 96% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Or how about another ACTION movie, one with some more familiar faces?
Or maybe another HORROR movie, one without zombies in it?
Or perhaps another THRILLER, one without all those subtitles getting in the way?
