When his children can no longer care for him, an elderly man suffering from the early stages of Alzheimer’s adjusts to his new life in a nursing facility. As he befriends his new roommate and his disease progresses, he struggles to come to terms with his new reality.
Unusually heavy stuff for an animated movie and it’s the kind of story I wish more movies would tell. Animation quality might not be up there with Pixar, but it’s surprisingly well-made and makes quite the impression. Really good, borderline profound stuff.
It’s got a 96% on Rotten Tomatoes.
