When her mentally handicapped son winds up as the scapegoat for the murder of a local high school girl, an aging acupuncturist does everything in her power to vindicate him when no one else will.
[Rated R]
It’s yet another keeper from Joon-Ho Bong, one of the very best filmmakers working at the moment, and it’s absolutely worth the subtitles. Great story that’ll hook you in and keep you guessing, great acting from everyone involved (especially Hye-Ja Kim as the mother), surprisingly good sense of humor given the subject matter, and, my god, is it well made. Yup. Lots to like with this one, but that’s no surprise. Enjoy!
It’s got a 95% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Or how about another CRIME movie, one that actually happened?
Or maybe another DRAMA, one without all those subtitles getting in the way?
