A straight-laced young woman from a happy nuclear family moves to a new town that she quickly comes to despise. That is until she befriends one of her new classmates who quickly becomes her main squeeze. Since said classmate is far more of a wild child than our straight-laced young woman, the latter starts adopting some of her more unruly behaviors. Then they start filming themselves on a webcam for money and things escalate pretty quickly from there.
It’s a pretty wild coming-of-ager that does a bang-up job of capturing what teenage rebellion both looks and feels like. Jumps the shark a bit in the last 10 minutes or so, but everything up to that point is really something. Good, believable characters, well-made through and through, and who doesn’t love a good coming-of-ager, right? Kids these days…
It’s got a cool 100% on Rotten Tomatoes.
