In the immediate aftermath of the Rodney King verdict, a Korean-American and his slacker brother living in LA to try keep their family-run shoe store above water while keeping tabs on a young woman who just refuses to leave them alone.
It’s been a good while since I’ve seen an indie like this. It’s the kind of thing that would make a young Spike Lee proud. Memorable performances, solid characters, and it’s got a good story with a bunch of moving parts despite what that lackluster synopsis up there might have you believe. It’s got a lot of heart, this one. Definitely worth checking out.
It’s got a 94% on Rotten Tomatoes.
