WHAT THE HELL SHOULD I WATCH ON NETFLIX?

ANIMATION

MY LIFE AS A ZUCCHINI (2017)

October 12, 2017 By aredmond

A timid young boy from a broken home gets shipped off to a foster home after his mother dies in an accident. As he gets used to his new surroundings and befriends his fellow orphans, the strangers in his new life start to become the closest thing he’s ever had to a real family.
[PG-13]

Yeah. Pretty heavy stuff for an animated movie and I’m not really sure what target audience they had in mind with this one. Nevertheless, I can’t recommend it enough. Please forgive the misleading title that isn’t doing itself any favors. Please don’t mistake this for a kid’s movie, because you’ll be short-changing yourself on one of the most affecting, enjoyable, and beautiful things I’ve seen on Netflix in some time. Folks, I was just as surprised by this thing as you probably are right now reading this. You might want to have some Kleenex nearby.

It’s got a 98% on Rotten Tomatoes.

WATCH IT NOW

Or how about another ANIMATED movie, one with a better title?

Or maybe another COMEDY, one that isn’t animated?

Or perhaps another DRAMA, one without all those subtitles getting in the way?

Or shall we pick something at RANDOM?
