After finding that the money they just pinched from a casino was counterfeit, a master thief and his trusty crew make their way to the source of the printing presses: a castle run by a devious count who’s hellbent on forcing a damsel in distress to wed him.
[PG-13]
Folks, I can’t remember the last time I got straight-up giddy over a movie getting added to Netflix. As one of my first introductions to a life-long love affair with anime, I have nothing but praise to sing about this gem. Sure, it was made nearly 40 years ago, but it holds up beautifully, it’s a blast from start to finish, and it puts so many live-action adventure movies to shame. If you’re not into anime or are looking for an entry point, there are far worse places to start. It also happens to be the first movie by the great Hayao Miyazaki and rumor has it that Steven Spielberg once called it “one of the greatest adventure movies of all-time.” So, yeah. Love this one. Just sayin’.
It’s got a 92% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Or how about another ACTION movie, one that isn’t animated?
Or maybe another ADVENTURE movie, one that’ll really get your palms sweating?
Or perhaps another ANIMATED movie, one that’s a little more recent?
