THE DIVING BELL AND THE BUTTERFLY (2008)

January 13, 2019 By aredmond

Based on the life of one Jean-Dominique Bauby: a former editor for Elle magazine who suffered a stroke that left him almost completely paralyzed. Left with only the ability to blink one eye, he managed to write a memoir about living with locked-in syndrome.
[Rated PG-13]

One of the most extraordinary, heartbreaking, and beautiful movies you’ll ever see. Unforgettable in every sense. A personal all-time fave. It’ll leave you hot mess. I could go on. Just watch it already.

It’s got a 94% on Rotten Tomatoes.

WATCH IT NOW

Or how about another BIOPIC, one that isn’t quite so heavy?

Or perhaps another DRAMA, one without all those subtitles getting in the way?

Or shall we pick something at RANDOM?
