A documentary about one Lance Mackey: the estranged son of a champion Iditarod racer who spent much of his life raising hell until he decided to follow in his old man’s footsteps. [Unrated]
Who doesn’t love stumbling upon a great underdog sports movie about someone you’ve never heard of? Unless you’re into dog sledding, I’m guessing you’re on the level. Doesn’t matter if you’ve never heard of the guy, doesn’t matter if you have zero interest in the sport, because Mackey’s story is one for the books and it makes for one super watchable, highly inspiring documentary. Easy recommendation, folks.
