Sparks fly when a young woman living in a dead-end town crosses paths with a married woman in a loveless marriage. When their fling starts blossoming into something more, the young woman has to choose between getting out of town and joining the military or risking everything to follow her heart.

Reading it back, that’s a pretty corny description and it really doesn’t do this movie justice. Sure, the premise is probably familiar, but this one right here impressed the hell out of me and is far, far better than these familiar stories end up being. Real as hell, great performances, a story that’ll punch you in the gut and stick with you after, and it’s a got a fantastic, understated script backing it all up. Like I said, really impressed. More romantic dramas like this, please.
