A documentary that tells the story of everything that led up to and everything that was left in the wake of the L.A. riots as told through largely-unseen footage and news broadcasts from the time.
[Rated R]
Whether you lived through it or just familiar with it, this doc and the events it covers make for one shocking, compelling, emotional time capsule that, unfortunately, is still very much as relevant today as it was back then. Not exactly a pick-me-upper, but certainly qualifies as required viewing so long as things keep going like they’re going in the U.S.-of-A.
It’s got a 92% Rotten Tomatoes. Figures.
