A documentary about one Leon Vitali: a young man who got his big break after being cast in Stanley Kubrick’s Barry Lyndon way back when. Rather than take his newfound fame and use it to land bigger roles, he traded it in to be Kubrick’s right-hand man for the rest of his damn life.
[Unrated]
Probably more appealing to all you Kubrick fans and movie buffs, but it’s a pretty fascinating story nonetheless. Just the craziest portrait of one man’s insane work ethic and unwavering devotion to someone else’s cause, and it makes for an enlightening look into how some of the greatest movies by one of the most notoriously demanding filmmakers came to be.
It’s got a 96% on Rotten Tomatoes.
